Government Organizations Plan to Add Chief Digital, Data Officers Next Year: Gartner

October 30, 2013 — Many government organizations are entering a period of shifting managerial roles and responsibilities, according to a report released by Gartner on Tuesday. The report, entitled “Beyond the CIO: Chief Data or Digital Officers?” predicts that 20 percent of government organizations will add Chief Digital Officers over the next year, with an additional 10 percent adding chief data officers to address similar concerns.
