Unpatched Adobe ColdFusion Vulnerability Made Linode Hack Possible

April 16, 2013 — VPS hosting provider Linode released more details early Tuesday morning about an intrusion on an individual customer’s account it detected last week. It now believes the attack to have been possible through the exploitation of a previously unknown zero-day vulnerability in Adobe’s ColdFusion application server.
