FCC Redefines Broadband in Bid to Encourage Faster Internet Speeds

The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) defines broadband as 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speed, as of a vote Thursday. The move to change the definition has several implications, including requiring ISPs to provide those speeds for services advertised as “broadband.”
