Australian Government Signs 49 Companies to Cloud Services Panel

The Australian government has announced the first 49 companies as part of its cloud services panel which caters to Australia’s federal agencies. The initial industry group of panelists was recently revealed by finance minister Mathias Cormann, and includes providers of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and “core specialist services” such as optimization. Microsoft Adopts International Standard for Cloud Privacy

Amazon Sites in Europe Suffer Outages, AWS Customers Not Affected: Netcraft

Amazon retail sites and streaming video services in Europe suffered a pair of outages on Sunday and Monday, Downdetector.co.uk reports. Sites affected included amazon.co.uk, amazon.de and amazon.fr, but not US-hosted amazon.com or any of the thousands of AWS customers, according to Netcraft. Continue reading
